What Makes Aurvandil A Dark Lord When His Name Translates Into Auzi Wandilaz Or "Luminous Wanderer"? Is This Because Aurvandil And His Wife Groa Live In The Realm Of Helheim?

Because i pushed it further
"luminous wanderer" refers to the Morning Star, which is the symbol of the fallen angel, Lucifer, the Lightbringer. (same meaning. also has many other names, won't list now)
While Lucifer is often the symbol of decieving and has negative meanings in christianity, many other cultures worship him as the idol of knowlege (hence the word, lightbringer)
The term "dark lord" is because of this ... idk. misleading i guess. He is usually described as "evil" just because he can be intimidating with this power of knowlege...
well i will explain this in details in my comic, Lightshard (will release 1st chapter soon)

I'm Fully Aware Of All Of That. I'm Lived In Italy And Lightbringer Is Kind Of A Regular Term That Referred To The Astronomy Name Of Ēōsphoros/Heōsphoros/Phōsphoros/less common 'Sirius/Mercury And Apollo In Relation To Venus. Over In Italy This Is Well Known To Be An Admirable Character.

In Luciferian Ideology Most Of Which Have This Common Identification To Light Or The Star As Descending And Reascending From The Underworld Or Earth Like Odin, Ishtar/Inanna, Krishna, Horus, Hephaestus, Vulcan, And Less Favorably To Me Yeshu AKA Jesus Christ Or Daystar. This Symbolizing Enlightenment Or Knowledge And Even Hope.

The Reason I Asked Why You Called Him A Dark Lord Is Mostly Geared From A Luciferian Ideology Of The Mourning Star Descending And Reascending From Helheim Or Hel Or For Idiots Hell. Christians Believe In The Binary Of Darkness Means Evil And Light Means Good Zoroastrian Dichotomy. In The Helen, Norse, Germanic, Gothic, Pagan Beliefs The Is No Such Dichotomy Of Light Vs Darkness In Relation To Good Or Evil.

Aurvandil's Home Is Located In Élivágar Near Niflheim Overlapping Helhiem. I Was Thinking That Would Be The Reason For You To Call Him A Dark Lord.

Also I Wish To Tell You That You Should Not Confuse Lucifer Of The Bible Of The King James Version Identifying Him As Venus To The Work Of John Milton's Paradise Lost Novel Which Has Made Lucifer Into A Character Of Rebellion And Or Evil. They Are Two Separate Works, One Biblical And The Other Individually Inspired Fiction.

I'm Not Trying To Alienate You In Any Way But I Am Rather Curious And I Needed To Know More Of Your Point Of View. I Also Don't Disagree I Only Wish To Know Where You Justify This Likeness Of Aurvandil Both Being Of Both A Character Of Light And Have The Title Of Dark Lord.

The Mysterious Light Bearer "Aurvandil The Bold".

The Original Title To Aurvandil Is "Aurvandil The Bold" Being Bold Is An Attribute Of Being Bright, Intelligent, Brave, Heroic, And Feisty. Aurvandil Could Very Well Be A Dark Lord By Where He Lives Despite Having Attributes Of Light Or He May Even Be Called That On The Account Of Him Being Intelligent As Well As Mysterious.

I Like Your Picture As Well.

oooh finally someone C:
I didn't expect this much of research , so i simplified my reply

So - i use it as irony, of course :D He is supposed to have this "double meaning"
He is considered "dark" for ignorant people. I don't use "evil" characters in any way, Lightshard is going to be a story about understanding intentions.
Aurvandil - for me - is an absolutely positive character, who has only one goal - to wipe out ignorance. In this story he is NOT the original mythological figure, i will just use the name, and if someone like you has this knowlege about all the backstories, the person will have more insight about the character and his real intensions.
So - interpret him in all of these terms and try to simplify everything what he means. That is _my_ Aurvandil. Maybe it is a bit bold to use such powerful names , but calling him "Lucifer" would have been too cheesy, and giving him a human name like "James" wouldn't give much justice for the character, so now you see why x"D

My goal with Lightshard to reach people like you. Thank you for your comment, it really motivates me to work harder and finish the 1st chapter as soon as possible!

I love how the aqua color jewels stand out and the light from his eyes are just haunting. Whenever that aqua is at, I find my eyes always drawn there.

And, of course, they are drawn to that tattoo...gorgeous! (I'm a sucker for tattoos lol)
