Lightshard is my very first comic/graphic novel, and i'm happy to share it with you, finally ^^ I'll try to update as quick as i can, but please be patient, since the art style will be the same what i always do, it will take some time :3
This turned out to be a symbolism-orgy, so feel free to guess xd I'd be happy to see your interpretations ~ some symbols are pretty obvious, some of them are story specific ~
Thanks for being here, and see you soon
LS is written by ~GabrielGarren and ~Cashile art by me ~
Updates also on Smackjeeves: lightshard.smackjeeves.com/
I'm on Facebook: www.facebook.com/cashileart
And Tumblr: cashileart.tumblr.com/
in the good way!
I reworked the symbol a little bit, still using the same base but it is now more related to the story too and gives some extra meaning to it : www.facebook.com/cashileart/ph…
i need to finish this cover too lol
According to the Bible though, there is no character mentioned as "lucifer" - the word is latin and it was used as an adjective to describe the light of the moon. The fact that people think that he is a character comes from fiction, later literature works. (also worth mentioning, that 'satan' 'the beast' 'the serpent' are all used differently in the book)
In the Bible the serpent never lied. God told the humans that they will die if they eat the fruit. The serpent corrected this statement:
"Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”
2 The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’”
4 “You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. 5 “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”"
my story will be about the Serpent, how he dealt with being cast out unfairly. and how he will take his 'revenge' - with truth again.
Thanks so much for your kind words, i hope to start the story very soon >u<
don't hurt yourself ~
Chained to the world that he knows, the warrior is unable to do more than what he has already done, but yet his mind is filled with thoughts of what the world was like beyond of where he was at. The trees/wings that are behind him show what a true world is like, the moons symbolizing the small circle showing of how his life is currently, and the larger one being the world that he has yet to discover. What he had been doing up until this point could have been revealed to be a lie, he not truly doing what he had for what he had thought he was doing.
^^ what you think of the interpret, shile shile?
Thank you so much ^^
I'm looking forward to it ^^
